Welcome from Memorial Stadium in downtown Seattle as Reign FC gets ready to kick off the 2014 NWSL season today against the Boston Breakers. I’ll post lineups, updates and a live stream (if available) below:

Final — Reign 3, Boston 0. Seattle had no shutouts in 2013 and had to wait 11 games for its first win. Both accomplished in today’s opener.

88′ — GOAL REIGN FC! Megan Rapinoe makes it 3-0!

85′ — Seattle sub: Kate Deines on for two-goal hero Kim Little.

81′ — Attendance: 3,021

76′ — Naho into the side netting!

71′ — Whiff! Naho with a great cross to Rapinoe, but it’s a swing and a miss.

67′ — Reign sub: Nahomi Kawasumi in for Bev Goebel.

59′ — Yellow card to Seattle’s Winters.

56′ — Yellow card to Boston’s Jones for taking out Leroux.

55′ — GOAL REIGN! Welcome to Seattle Kim Little! The former Arsenal Ladies star nets her second to put the home side up 2-0!

51′ — SAVE! Huge save by Naeher on Little to keep Boston in this one.

48′ — GOAL REIGN! Kim Little powers home a penalty kick after a Megan Rapinoe cross is handled in the box by Boston’s Courtney Jones. Seattle up 1-0.

46′ — Back underway. Seattle attack quickly, leading to a Rapinoe shot that is off target.

Halftime: No score in this one yet.

44′ — Fletcher with a header off a Rapinoe corner kick that goes wide.

43′ — Yellow card to Boston’s Jazmyne Avant for taking out Fishlock.

42′ — Seattle controlling more of the action.

35′ — Offside flag the enemy for the Reign.

29′ — NO GOAL! Heather O’Reilly with a great cross and Joanna Lohman’s shot is off the crossbar, then down off the goal line and cleared by Lauren Barnes. Goal-line technology anyone?

25′ — SAVE! Rapinoe blisters a one-time shot, but Naeher gets a piece of it and it’s off the post. Offside flag up, though.

21′ — SAVE! Leroux with a cheeky backheel for a shot, set up by Goebel, but it’s blocked. Little’s follow-up shot is strong, but saved by Naeher.

20′ — Little sets up a Goebel shot, but Naeher has it.

19′ — Lot of turnovers and mis-hit crosses. We’ll call it early season rust, and maybe some getting used to the turf.

10′ — Watch for Kim Little this season. She’ll be the playmaker for the Reign.

8′ — First shot by Rapinoe from outside the box, but her right-footed shot is handled by GK Alyssa Naeher.

4′ — Seattle looks to be in a 4-3-3 with Goebel in the middle, Leroux on the right, Rapinoe on the left. Little is underneath as a center attacking mid. Fishlock and Winters are the holding mids.

Pregame — I’ll post updates from the game here.
