The big news for the Sounders is captain Brad Evans looks to be 100-percent healthy and good to go, according to updates Thursday. He has practiced in full since Sunday, though coach Sigi Schmid didn’t indicate what role he sees for Evans against Chivas USA on Saturday.

I’ll have more on Evans’ longer-than-expected recovery in a future post, but the short version is an MRI two weeks after the injury showed he had developed a hematoma, and he also suffered a setback early in the process. All that is behind him now.

We’ll get an update on Andy Rose after Friday’s practice and whether or not Kevin Parsemain has undergone surgery yet.

For Chivas, losing Thomas McNamara to a non-contract injury is a blow after the rookie had shown signs of promise in the early going.
