A look back at the controversial plays from the Sounders-Union game

UPDATE: The MLS Disciplinary Committee has announced its decisions for the week and Clint Dempsey was not punished.

The latest episode of MLSsoccer.com’s Instant Replay is out, and host Simon Borg had a few controversial plays highlighted from the Sounders-Union game.

Skip ahead to the 7:45 mark and you’ll see Borg contend Obafemi Martins should, in fact, have been rewarded with a penalty kick for being tackled in the box by Philadelphia goalkeeper Zac MacMath.

Borg also suggests Clint Dempsey could be subject to possible review from the MLS Disciplinary Committee for a late tackle on Union defender Aaron Wheeler.

What do you think about the plays in question?
