Rank Team Comment
1. (1) Sounders FC Has scored 15 goals in thrilling 4-0-1 run, more than every Eastern Conf. team has all year.
2. (2) Real Salt Lake Remains the only unbeaten in MLS after stunning Chicago with late equalizer and winner.
3. (4) Sporting K.C. MLS Cup holders got championship rings in pregame ceremony and then beat Crew, 2-0.
4. (3) FC Dallas Faces Seattle dealing with a losing streak, injuries, suspensions and extremely short rest.
5. (8) Colorado Vicente Sanchez finally scored a non-PK goal — and it was a beauty — but now he’s hurt.
6. (10) Vancouver Pedro Morales became the 15th player in league history to score in back-to-back minutes.
7. (11) New England Lee Nguyen has not only been a creative force in 3-0 run, he’s gone perfect 3 for 3 on PKs.
8. (12) N.Y. Red Bulls Luis Robles has been stellar in goal with league-high 41 saves, 10 more than anyone else.
9. (13) Houston What better remedy for a six-game winless streak than facing Chivas? Result: 4-1 win.
10. (5) L.A. Galaxy Fans surely aren’t used to the misses we’re seeing from Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane.
11. (6) Columbus Three-game winning streak to start year is about forgotten now amid five-game drought.
12. (7) Toronto FC That’s four losses in five games, and the latest came after finally getting to full strength.
13. (9) D.C. United Is EJ’s World Cup place in danger? Injuries and lack of production becoming hard to miss.
14. (15) Philadelphia GK Zac MacMath has saved all three penalty kicks faced this season; simply outstanding
15. (16) San Jose Jon Busch is the 7th MLS goalkeeper to reach 1,000 saves; only two took fewer games.
16. (19) Portland Became first team in MLS to score in first minute and then game-winner in stoppage time.
17. (17) Montreal Can turn some attention to Canadian Championship with a mountain to climb in league.
18. (14) Chicago Remains the only winless team after 90th-minute lead vs. RSL somehow ended in defeat.
19. (18) Chivas USA Starting to feel a lot like last year with Erick Torres producing as the team flounders.
