Sounders FC vs. FC Dallas, pregame

Welcome back to CenturyLink Field, where the Sounders will cap a three-game home stand under clear skies tonight against visiting FC Dallas.

Seattle (6-2-1) is looking to match a franchise record by winning its fifth game in a row, a run that started April 12 on the road against this very same Dallas team. The Hoops, on the other hand, have lost three of four, dating to the that meeting at Toyota Park.

The main question for the Sounders is whether or not Leo Gonzalez will be able to return from his hamstring strain to fill a void at left back (backup Dylan Remick is out with a sprained ankle). If Gonzalez isn’t ready, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Zach Scott make his first start.

Dallas is dealing with worse personnel issues as star midfielder Mauro Diaz is expected to be out 6-10 weeks due to a knee injury. Midfielder Je-Vaughn, the team’s co-leading scorer, is suspended tonight due to Sunday’s red card and others like George John, Stephen Keel, Kellyn Acosta and Andres Escobar are on the mend.

I’ll post lineups below when they become available.

Sounders FC lineup: GK Stefan Frei, D DeAndre Yedlin, D Chad Marshall, D Zach Scott, D Brad Evans, M Lamar Neagle, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Gonzalo Pineda, M Marco Pappa, F Clint Dempsey, F Obafemi Martins

Sounders FC bench: GK Marcus Hahnemann, D Leo Gonzalez, D Jalil Anibaba, M Andy Rose, M Michael Azira, F Chad Barrett, F Kenny Cooper

FC Dallas lineup: GK Raul Fernandez, D Michel, D Walker Zimmerman, D Matt Hedges, D Zach Loyd, M Adam Moffat, M Hendry Thomas, M Danny Garcia, M Andrew Jacobson, F David Texeira, F Blas Perez

FC Dallas bench: GK Chris Seitz, D Moises Hernandez, D Nick Walker, D Jair Benitez, M Fabian Castillo, M Victor Ulloa, F Tesho Akindele

NOTES: Ten lineups in 10 games for Seattle as Zach Scott gets his first start of the season with Djimi Traore rested. Brad Evans will start at left back, but Leo Gonzalez is on the bench. Ex-Sounder Adam Moffat starting for the visitors.
