Sounders match best 10-game record in franchise history (and other notes)

The first midweek game of the season made it hard for me to quickly turn around a post on game notes, but better late than never I suppose.

The main note for me was the Sounders matching the best 10-game record in franchise history at 7-2-1. Here is a deeper look at the start compared to seasons past:

Season 10-game record Home record Away record Goals scored Goals allowed GD
2014 7-2-1 4-2-0 3-0-1 22 14 +8
2012 7-2-1 5-2-0 2-0-1 13 4 +9
2009 4-2-4 3-1-1 1-1-3 14 8 +6
2013 4-3-3 2-1-2 2-2-1 14 9 +5
2011 3-3-4 2-1-1 1-2-3 12 10 +2
2010 3-4-3 2-3-1 1-1-2 9 13 -4
