For San Jose, the situation is much worse than just the guys listed above. Forward Steven Lenhart isn’t included in the report, but he’s finalizing his recovery from a knee injury and isn’t expected to play.

Also, two key starters are suspended: midfielder Shea Salinas due to his red card last week and defender Victor Bernardez due to a MLS Disciplinary Committee decision (don’t stomp on people).

Lastly, the Earthquakes have been hit by international call-ups as leading scorer Chris Wondolowski and defender/House Hunters International star Clarence Goodson are in training camp with the U.S. national team.

That’s more than 50 combined starts potentially missing for the visitors.

For Seattle, the international call-ups are significant as Clint Dempsey, Brad Evans and DeAndre Yedlin are unavailable. On the injury front, Dylan Remick was able to train in full Thursday, so coach Sigi Schmid said the team is pretty much ready to go — outside of the long-term injuries listed in the report.
