The report looks pretty clean for the Sounders, but there is more to the team’s injury issues than what is posted above. MLS doesn’t require that teams provide accurate reports, so they often don’t.

Lamar Neagle, for example, is dealing with a hamstring issue that could keep him out of Saturday’s game. He has been able to do some training this week, at least, and here is the update from coach Sigi Schmid:

“He trained today,” Schmid said after Friday’s practice. “We didn’t want him to push it. We feel it’s minor and we’re just going to make a decision on if it’s worthwhile risking it this weekend with it being minor.”

Another player who had some injury concerns this week was homegrown product Sean Okoli. He had an MRI taken on his knee Thursday but indicated on Twitter that it revealed no damage — just swelling.

Schmid confirmed as much, saying the MRI showed “there is nothing structurally wrong at all.”

In non-injury-related news, Brad Evans has rejoined the Sounders and will travel to Vancouver, but his availability is yet to be determined.

On the Whitecaps side, the speedy Mattocks isn’t expected to be available due to the hamstring strain. Reports from up north were that the forward had been practicing on the side this week, not with the full group.
