Whitecaps take Cascadia Cup lead with entertaining 4-3 win in Portland

Cascadia Cup action has always been good, but this season it has been absolutely must-see TV.

The Sounders played a couple wild ones in the first two games of this year’s competition, and Vancouver-Portland continued the entertainment Sunday at Providence Park.

The Timbers scored first on a brilliant goal by Maximiliano Urruti. The Whitecaps then scored four straight, two on penalty kicks. Portland then rallied to cut the lead the one, the last goal having been set up in world-class fashion by Fanendo Adi.

Whether you watched the game or not, the highlights are worth a view.

The next game is July 5 when the Sounders travel back to BC Place.
