She did it again.
Reign FC star Kim Little has been named NWSL Player of the Month for May after a media vote. The Scottish international had also won the award in April, making her the first player in the league’s young history to win the award twice — let alone back-to-back in her first two months with Seattle.
Little, 23, scored four goals in five games to lead the unbeaten Reign to a 3-0-2 record in May. Overall, she has scored in five straight games, which has tied an NWSL record, and leads the league with nine goals in 10 games.
“I’m really pleased for Kim; she has been a consistent performer in the league and has given every opposition we have played problems,” said Laura Harvey, coach and general manager, in a news release. “She has worked hard to put in good performances, and we hope that she can continue in this good form she is in.”
First-place Seattle returns to action Saturday against the Chicago Red Stars, a 7 p.m. home game at Memorial Stadium.
