Final: Sounders FC 3, Chicago 2, live chat

Update: Sounders win, 3-2, and take an MLS-best 10-3-2 record into the World Cup break.

Join me for a live chat during Sounders FC’s road game Saturday against the Chicago Fire. This is Seattle’s last game before the World Cup break. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. (Pacific Time), and I’ll plan on starting the chat a few minutes earlier.

Sounders FC lineup: GK Stefan Frei, D Brad Evans, D Chad Marshall, D Jalil Anibaba, D Leo Gonzalez, M Lamar Neagle, M Osvaldo Alonso, M Gonzalo Pineda, M Marco Pappa, F Chad Barrett, F Obafemi Martins

Sounders FC bench: GK Marcus Hahnemann, D Zach Scott, D/M Micheal Azira, M Aaron Kovar, F/M Sean Okoli, F Kenny Cooper, F Cam Weaver

Chicago Fire lineup: GK Sean Johnson; D Lovel Palmer, D Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, D Bakary Soumare, D Gonzalo Segares; M Grant Ward, M Jeff Larentowicz, M Chris Ritter, M Benji Joya; F Harrison Shipp, F Quincy Amarikwa

Chicago Fire bench: GK Kyle Reynish; D Greg Cochrane, D Patrick Ianni; M Alex, M Victor Pineda, M Matt Watson; F Juan Luis Anangono

Notes: Sounders very nearly repeat last week’s lineup, but Jalil Anibaba is in for Zach Scott. In some milestone notes, Osvaldo Alonso is making his 150th start (most in team history), Brad Evans is making his 110th start (now all alone in second place) and Leo Gonzalez is playing his 104th game (tied for fourth). Homegrown player Aaron Kovar makes his first appearance on the Seattle bench. All three ex-Fire players on the Sounders’ roster are starting (Anibaba, Pappa, Barrett). Ex-Sounder Jhon Kennedy Hurtado is starting for Chicago while Patrick Ianni is on the bench.
