Sounders FC has announced that its July 26 home game against the Los Angeles Galaxy has been moved to July 28 — a Monday — with a 7 p.m. kickoff. The game will still be televised nationally on ESPN2.
So why the change?
Here is the explanation in the news release:
The match was moved in order to accommodate city-wide events and the national television schedule. All tickets and parking passes issued for the original date will be honored.
Events in Seattle on July 26 include the Seafair Torchlight Parade and the Capitol Hill Block Party.
This Galaxy home game was not going to feature full-capacity seating at CenturyLink Field.
