Consider it another round of successful coin flips for the Sounders.
U.S. Soccer revealed its hosting scenarios for the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open Cup, and Seattle will have another home game if able to successfully navigate Tuesday’s fifth-round against the San Jose Earthquakes at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila (a limited number of tickets are available, according to the team).
Here is the draw:
— The Sounders would host either the Portland Timbers or Sporting Kansas City at Starfire Stadium on July 9. Kickoff would be 7:30 p.m.

If you remember, Seattle will host the Timbers in an MLS game on July 13 with full capacity at CenturyLink Field, meaning it could be a wild five days in the rivalry.
San Jose would also host either Portland or Kansas City if victorious against the Sounders. The Timbers and SKC face off at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
