Sean Okoli, Jordan Morris called into U-23 national team

Sounders FC forward Sean Okoli and club academy product Jordan Morris have been called into the U.S. U-23 national team camp, the federation announced Friday.

Okoli has made three substitute appearances for Seattle this season and participated in the MLS homegrown match during all-start week in Portland. Morris, meanwhile, gained national attention when he was called into the senior USMNT for its Sept. 3 match against the Czech Republic — if he had seen the field, the Stanford University forward and Mercer Island native would’ve been the first college player to earn a cap in nearly two decades.

The U-23’s will train in Brazil from Oct. 10-12 before taking on the Brazilian U-23’s on the 13th.
