Reign FC picks up pair of players, Seattle U.’s Verdoia goes to Boston in NWSL Draft

Reign FC added a pair of new names to its roster at Friday’s 2015 National Women’s Soccer League Draft, picking up Florida’s Havana Solaun in the second round and Stanford’s Kendall Romine in the fourth.

Solaun, a 5-foot-9 midfielder, was named first-team All-SEC in each of her final two years in Gainesville, tallying 30 goals and 32 assists in 90 career games for the Gators. Romine is a central defender who helped lead the Cardinal to the semifinals of the College Cup this past season.

Seattle University senior Stephanie Verdoia, who finished her RedHawk career the school’s all-time leader in goals, was drafted by the Boston Breakers in the fourth round with the 29th overall pick.
