Join me for a live chat for Sounders FC’s Open Cup game Tuesday against the San Jose Earthquakes. This is a fifth-round matchup with the winner advancing to host either Portland or Sporting Kansas City in the quarterfinals. Kickoff at Starfire Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m., and I’ll plan on starting the chat about 15 minutes earlier.

Kenny Cooper scores twice in Open Cup rout (video highlights)

The Sounders did what they were supposed to do Wednesday, leaving no doubt as a heavy favorite against PSA Elite, cruising to a 5-0 win in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup. Forward Kenny Cooper scored twice, including a crowd-pleasing bicycle kick, and Seattle also got goals from Brad Evans, Zach Scott and Sean Okoli.
