Squatch Watch: The 5 Squatchiest Sasquatchers of day one

Each day we will round up five photos of Sasquatch!-goers that best convey the feeling of the true festival experience. Kicking it off are our nominees from day one.

This young lady has many of the festival essentials: sunglasses, a beverage, a thematically correct garment, a small piece of luggage and jaunty headgear.

Wearing animal costumes is a big thing at Sasquatch! (and festivals in general). It seems the idea is that there is "real-world me" and "festival me." "Real-world me" would never wear a grizzly-bear-costume-fur-coat hybrid, but "festival me" almost has to. Also, this young man is very on-trend considering the prominence of a similar headdress get-up Macklemore dons in the "Can't Hold Us" video.

A tie-dyed thermal onesie is the perfect "outfit" for Sasquatch! It's simple, weather-versatile and says "party." Enough said.

This is a heady festival mix: camaraderie, daring sartorial decisions, expectation and ennui.

This is less a summing up of Sasquatch! day one than a whole moment of American youth. Enjoy your festival! Day two awaits.
