Memorial for Felipe Cañete

A memorial will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Gasworks Park for Felipe Cañete, vocalist and guitarist with the Seattle band Luc and the Lovingtons.  Cañete died of a heart attack May 17. He was 37. Originally from Chile, Cañete brought a South American flavor to the band and was an elementary school teacher by day. Friends, family and well-wishers are invited to meet at the covered area at the northeast end of the park. Ushers and signs will guide them to the ceremony, which begins at 5 p.m.
