Avett Brothers to play Seattle

Square Peg Concerts announced Friday that The Avett Brothers, big daddies of the neo-folk movement, will play a Seattle show this fall. The tour supports the release of the group’s seventh full-length album, “The Carpenter.” St. Paul singer-songwriter Nicholas David opens. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 28. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at KeyArena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle; $35-$49 advance (800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com).
