Billboard Top 10 – Seattle sinks

Sic transit gloria mundi, as they say in the record business. Alas, the glory week has passed that saw Seattle bands Pearl Jam and The Head and the Heart in the Top 10 of the Billboard album chart. Pearl Jam’s “Lightning Bolt” (review here) now clocks in at #28 and THATH’s “Be Still” (feature here) is at #110.

In other Seattle band chart news, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “The Heist” (review and profile here), on the chart for 58 weeks and topping out at #2, is now at #53. Kenny G’s “Holiday Collection” has re-entered at #165.

Here’s the current, Seattle-absent Billboard Top 200 album chart:

1. Lady Gaga, “ARTPOP”

2. Eminem, “The Marshal Mathers LP 2″ (our review)

3. Various Artists, “NOW 48″

4.The Robertsons, “Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas”

5. Katy Perry, “Prism” (our review)

6. Kelly Clarkson, “Wrapped in Red”

7. The Beatles, “On Air: Live at the BBC Volume 2″ (our review)

8. Drake, “Nothing Was the Same”

9. Lorde, “Pure Heroine”

10. Miley Cyrus, “Bangerz”

And here’s the title video from the Top album in the country:
