Black Friday edition of Record Store Day is upon us

U251JsaWrfLoL__AA160_Dazzled by the success of Record Store Day in April, independent shops have banded together for a Nov. 29 Black Friday reprise of this celebration of physical recordings — particularly, but not exclusively, the vinyl variety — in our digital age. Special releases issued on Black Friday Record Store Day include The Flaming Lips’ EP “Peace Sword”; a remix of Nirvana’s “In Utero” on 45 rpm LPs; a compilation of Bob Dylan recordings, “Side Tracks,” that have never appeared on a proper album; and two brand new tracks from U2, “Ordinary Love,” on 10 inch vinyl.

For a complete list of Record Store Day releases and participating record stores, see www.recordstoreday.com.
