Cyndi Lauper to join Cher in Seattle

(Kevin Trageser)

Cher, who’s coming to KeyArena June 28, just announced a great opening act: Cyndi Lauper.

Lauper was hilarious as the emcee of the Grammy pre-telecast show last weekend.

“This was the year we all got to say ‘Pussy Riot,’” she began. “How cool is that?”

Lauper let the world know years ago that “girls just want to have fun” but she’s been doing a lot more than that lately, most recently hauling in a Tony Award for best original score for “Kinky Boots.”

Tickets are on sale now, from the KeyArena box office or from Ticketmaster: 800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com)
