Energetic Irish extravaganza of Celtic Woman | Concert preview

(Photo courtesy of PBS)In the midst of a 75-city North American tour comprising more than 90 shows, the women of Celtic Woman give new meaning to the term Irish rover. Started by the minds behind Riverdance, the show is a vocal version of that spectacle. In addition to Irish favorites like “Danny Boy,” the four women of the group also belt out interpretations of classics like “Amazing Grace” and “You Raise Me Up.” Over the years, members have come and gone, but as the band’s tour announcement puts it, “The lineup of performers has rotated since the group began, but the signature sound of Celtic Woman has never changed.”

7 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 25 at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett; $112-180 (425-322-2600  or www.comcastarenaeverett.com)
