The Doggfather and his Dogg-sessor at WaMu

L.A. gangster rap innovator Snoop Dogg is like a modern-day Willie Nelson, recognized for his celebrity and unswerving marijuana activism almost as equally as his musical accomplishments. Along with a catalog of hits 20-plus years deep, he’s bringing along frequent collaborator and movie co-star Wiz Khalifa (who’s working on becoming a Snoop Dogg-level stoner-rap icon to a younger generation) on his Wellness Retreat Tour, which includes back-to-back shows in the two US states that have legalized cannabis. Local rappers Nacho Picasso and Jarv Dee will open.

9 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at the WaMu Theater, 1000 Occidental Ave S, Seattle; $47.50 (206-381-7555 or  showboxpresents.com)
