Electronic producer Shlohmo still out in front | Concert preview

Twenty-four-year-old Los Angeles producer and WeDidIt collective founder Shlohmo (real name Henry Laufer) has been making innovative electronic beats since 2009, but in recent years his signature downtempo atmospherics, skittering percussion and R & B samples have become the popular standard for modern instrumental production.

His recent “Laid Out” EP and singles with R & B singer Jeremih, from their upcoming “No More,” prove that Laufer’s still at the forefront of this wave, and is also getting better with age.

Shlohmo

8 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Neumos, 925 E. Pike St., Seattle; $18 (206-709-9467 or www.neumos.com).
