Do you like your jazz a little “out there,” not down the middle of the road?
Then you’re in luck. IMPfest is back for its sixth edition this weekend, featuring some of Seattle coolest “outside” and original musicians, plus guest artists. The lineup includes the drummer Billy Hart, bassist Ben Street, keyboard man Pete Rende, singer-songwriter Holly Palmer, guitarist Bill Frisell, trumpeter Cuong Vu and UW jazz program students.
The action takes place at the Dolores Jones Playhouse Theatre (the old Seattle Repertory Theatre, on University Way). Concerts are at 7:30 p.m.
