Old Crow Medicine Show brings boozy, charming string sound to Paramount

Old Crow Medicine Show has its signature hit, “Wagon Wheel,” but there’s much more to the Nashville string band, which stops by Seattle Friday.

Its latest album, “Remedy,” is a boozy, charming collection of songs that confirm the band members’ songwriting chops even as they continue to modernize their sound.

Highlights include the silly humor of “Brushy Mountain Conjugal Trailer” and “Dearly Departed Friend,” about a veteran losing a close friend.

Old Crow Medicine Show

With The Deslondes, 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at the Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle; $27.50-$42.50 (206-902-5500 or www.stgpresents.org).
