Lily Allen brings ‘Sheezus’ tour to the Paramount | Concert preview

Bubbly with brains — and sometimes profane — Lily Allen hit it big in 2006, then after the first flush of her career took time off to have two kids. She’s back in North America for the first time in five years, in support of her 2014 album “Sheezus.”

Though it hasn’t had the stateside impact of her debut, “Smile,” Allen hasn’t retreated from her in-your-facefeminist critique, which she wraps in a Trojan horse of poppish ear candy. The title track nicely skewers the competitive pop-star ego (including her own), and “Hard Out Here” turns hip-hop misogyny hilariously on its head.

8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle; $31.25 (877-784-4849 or stgpresents.org).
