Peter Buck and Alejandro Escovedo at Benaroya | Concert preview

It’s billed as “One Night, Two Legends,” but when Peter Buck, left, and Alejandro Escovedo, right, play Benaroya Hall, what you really will witness are two legends who are also friends. Part-time Northwest resident Buck is best known for R.E.M., but he has often jammed with Austin songwriter legend Escovedo over the years. On this tour they are both onstage all night long, with a band that includes other Northwest notables Scott McCaughey, Bill Rieflin and Kurt Bloch.

8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Nordstrom Recital Hall, Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., Seattle; $30-$40 (206-215-4747 or seattlesymphony.org).
