Roosevelt High School sends student to Grammy Band — again

Santosh Sharma, a junior in the Roosevelt High School Jazz Band, has been selected to perform in the 2015 Grammy Band. This marks the second year a Roosevelt student has been chosen for this exclusive group. Last year, trumpeter John Otten made the cut.

Imagine Dragons puts on a post-Grammy party at the Key | Concert review

Less than three weeks after winning a Grammy Award and joining in a star-studded Beatles tribute on the 54th annual telecast, Imagine Dragons arrived in Seattle Tuesday for a sold-out concert that felt like a giant Grammy after-party for local fans. (See the gallery for additional photos.)

The Las Vegas group, currently on its “Into the Night” arena tour — which features songs from its 2012 debut album, “Night Visions,” and breakthrough single “Radioactive” — performed an explosive, entertaining show at KeyArena.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis nominated for 7 Grammy awards

Pop music pundits were predicting that the Seattle rap team of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis would show up in Friday’s Grammy award announcement, but few expected the duo to rake in seven nominations.

Even fewer expected the members of Nirvana, whose singer Kurt Cobain has been dead for 19 years, to get a nomination, as well.

But that’s how it came down.
