When guitarist Joel Schneider co-founded his current band as a duo back in 2011, he and the drummer called it My Goodness because they loved the material so much they almost wanted to keep it to themselves.

Pardon the joke — but thank goodness they didn’t.

“Shiver + Shake,” the new, full-length album by Seattle duo My Goodness, is a gloriously raucous celebration of Seattle-style psychedelic blues-rock.

The Moondoggies will headline the Everett Fishermans Village Music Festival.

Members of the Moondoggies often wear homemade shirts that read “Everett (expletive) kickers” as an homage to their hometown. Now the band will get a chance to perform in front of its hometown fans when it headlines the Everett Fishermans Village Music Festival along with Gardens and Villa, La Luz, Rose Windows  and others.

The festival takes place May 16-17 on the downtown Everett waterfront. Tickets are $55 and are good for admission to both days.
