Seattle tops Forbes list of Most Miserable Sports Cities

OK, so Seattle didn’t have the greatest sports year. But was it really this bad?

Seattle tops Forbes magazine’s 2013 list of America’s Most Miserable Sports Cities.

No. 1. Uno. Ouch.

But in this case, No. 1 is last. Best means worst.

The story, written by Tom Van Riper, cites several criteria, including having the NBA jilt our city a second time by not allowing the Sacramento Kings to move here.

Forbes says Seattle barely edged Atlanta for top, er, bottom honors. Phoenix and Buffalo round out its Final Four.

Was it really that bad a year here? I don’t think so. In a year that has Seahawks fans dreaming about a Super Bowl run, this “honor” seems pretty harsh.
