Seattle sports had a memorable year in 2013, and if you don’t believe me think about the stars that arrived this year.
From Percy Harvin to Clint Dempsey, teams added big names to try to grab the ring. It didn’t always work out, as Dempsey and Sounders FC showed, but those additions added intrigue.
The year was capped by one of the wildest days in Seattle’s sports history. Last Friday, Chris Petersen was announced as the new Washington football coach. Later that day came more big news – Robinson Cano was close to a deal with the Mariners.
And don’t forget that the Mariners, who hired new manager Lloyd McClendon in November, are still adding pieces to their 2014 puzzle (though it’s hard to imagine they’ll reel in a bigger name than Cano.)
Harvin wasn’t the only player the Seahawks added, either. They also signed Cliff Avril, the NFL free agent available, among others.
Vote for the star you think was the brightest Seattle added last year.
