Seahawks fans gear up for the big game Saturday

Starbucks employees show their Seahawks spirit at the company’s corporate headquarters in the Sodo District.
Everywhere you look Seahawk fans are gearing up for Saturday’s playoff game.
People walk their dogs in 12th Man sweaters (the dogs AND the owners). 12th Man banners seemed to be everywhere. Starbucks baristas wore Seahawk T-shirts, “12” eye-black stickers and wrist bands while turning out lattes.

This car shows how one Seahawk fan rolls.
I’ve covered sports in Seattle for more than 30 years, but I’m not sure fans have ever been more worked up for a game. It must have been comparable in the run-up to the Seahawks’ Super Bowl appearance in 2006 and during the Mariners’ historic pennant run in 1995. But imagine what it will be like this year if the Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl.
Here are a few photos that have been sent to me the past few days that show the 12th Man’s spirit and the city’s excitement.

Even some employees at The Seattle Times showed their spirit. Here’s a winning entry in a company contest in the sales and marketing department.
