Pick up Russell Wilson along with The Seattle Times on Friday.
The Seahawks’ quarterback will be the first in our series of playoff Paper Hawks in the Friday newspaper. Al color page will include instructions on how to cut out, fold and assemble your own Russell Wilson origami. We’re calling them the Paper Hawks.
Two years ago, a similar Russell Wilson “doll” was hugely popular, ending up on TV sportscasts, on Twitter, in selfies with Seahawks fans and even on the podium of one of coach Pete Carroll’s news conferences.
So we’re bringing him back. With a few cool updates. This year’s version – call him Russell Wilson 2.0 – will be carrying the Lombardi Trophy.
And that’s just the start. We’ll run a new Paper Hawk every Friday throughout the Seahawks’ playoff run. Collect them all.
