Charges dropped in Marysville dog-napping case

So who dog-napped Takoda? Charges have been dropped against a 59-year-old woman who was accused of stealing a dog from a Marysville yard on Sept. 24.

The woman was arrested and charged earlier this month in Marysville Municipal Court with third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespassing and second-degree animal cruelty in connection with the theft of Takoda, a Siberian husky. The thief was captured on security video, which was broadcast by our news partners at KING-TV.

According to a news release issued Thursday by Marysville police, the charges were dropped after additional information indicated the woman was not responsible for the dog-napping.
