Home-invasion suspects sought in Kitsap County

A 62-year-old woman was threatened with a handgun, punched several times and dragged into a closet during a home-invasion robbery Wednesday in Silverdale, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies and detectives are seeking two suspects who broke into the woman’s home shortly after 12:30 p.m. in the 14000 block of Olympic View Loop Road Northwest.

The suspects — a man and a woman — forced open the front door and confronted the homeowner in the living room.  They yelled at her, threatened to kill her and asked where her jewelry and money were, the sheriff’s office said.

The woman was pushed into a small coat closet and barricaded inside. Meanwhile, the woman’s landscape caretaker arrived. He was forced inside the house and pushed into a bathroom, which also was barricaded from the outside.

After ransacking the house, the suspects left in a silver or gray car. The woman freed herself, called 9-1-1 and helped her landscape worker get free from the bathroom.

One suspect was described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20s, about 5-feet-10-inches, wearing a green fluorescent safety vest. The second suspect is a white female, mid-to-late 20s, about 5-feet-6-inches, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a grey sweatshirt, jeans and a bright green safety vest and surgical mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Ken Smith at (360) 337-4998.
