Man arrested after report of rape near Northgate

Seattle Police arrested a suspect early Saturday morning after a woman called 911 and reported she had been raped by an unknown man in the 1000 block of Northgate Way.

The woman said she had been assaulted by a man on the street at about 1:15 a.m. She thought he was still in the area, and a police dog helpedĀ find a 31-year-old man who was hiding in the bushes nearby. He was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of rape.
