Man stabbed during fight in Seattle's International District

A man was stabbed Wednesday night during a fight with another man on a street in Seattle’s International District and was later found on a Metro bus downtown, police said.

Police were called shortly before 9 p.m. to Fifth Avenue South and Jackson Street, but both parties were gone by the time police arrived. Moments later, King County Metro called to say one of the two men was on a bus at Third and Marion.

Medics took the man to Harborview Medical Center, where his condition was not immediately known. Police said witnesses told them the two men were in a “mutual combatant situation.”

The second man had not been found as of 9:30 p.m., police spokeswoman Renee Witt said
