Memo to Lake Stevens burglar: Hold the phone

Now here’s a guy who needs a new line of work.

According to Lake Stevens police, the man broke into a home in the 2400 block of South Lake Stevens Road on Oct. 9.  Things were proceeding nicely — for a burglar — until he got outside the home and realized he left his cellphone behind.

Duh.

Police say the boneheaded burglar then tried to break back in the home to retrieve the phone, but this time he was spotted by the homeowner, who called the cops. Police arrested the 35-year-old burglar, who was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

They also seized his car for good measure.
