Memorial service set for state Sen. Scott White

State Sen. Scott White

A memorial service for the late Sen. Scott White of Seattle is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, at the University of Washington.

Sen. White, 41, a Democrat, died in his hotel room last week of an enlarged heart. He had been attending a leadership conference near Roslyn organized by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.

Gov. Chris Gregoire and local elected officials, friends and family members will provide the eulogy. The service begins at 1 p.m. at Meany Hall Theater. Parking at The Central Plaza Underground Garage will be free of charge.
