Stolen car crashes into North Seattle apartment

There is not points to locate on the map

A stolen car crashed into a North Seattle apartment complex Saturday morning after speeding away from a traffic stop, Seattle Police said.

A police officer tried to stop the vehicle at North 125th Street and Fremont Avenue North just after 9 a.m., but as soon as the officer put on the lights and siren, the vehicle took off.

The officer did not follow, and the car  — which turned out to be stolen — crashed into an apartment complex at North 134th Street and Greenwood Avenue North.

The front of the car went into an unoccupied apartment, and officers evacuated the upper floors of the building.

The female driver took off running and has not been located after what police described as “an extensive search.”
