The Morning Memo / Sunday: Traffic — not so bad; weather — not so good

Weather for Seattle Sunday October 23, 2011Weather:  In a word: wet. Expect some form of rain   —  or a real strong chance of it — all week, from showers today  and Monday and showers again Friday, followed by light rain on Saturday. If there is a  bright spot this week, expect it to happen around Tuesday, when the forecast is upgraded all the way to “partly cloudy.” Temps all week are supposed to stay stubbornly in the 50s. Get  the details.

Traffic:   Traffic on most major roadways was moving right along this morning following Friday night’s long-anticipated (dreaded?)  closure  of the Alaskan Way Viaduct. For now at least, no news is good news. Here are the maps and cams.
