The Morning Memo / Wednesday: A superhero (sorta…), grapes. Bremerton shooting

Weather:  We don’t always believe the chart, but should we, it looks like sunshine is on its way after today with very little chance of rain or showers. Can’t beat that. But do we believe? Jeff Renner’s forecast in our print edition calls for the same weather and so does the National Weather Service. The planets must be aligned! This isn’t always the case, mind you.  Our weather page has more info.

Traffic: It’s awful early (5:45 a.m.), so the freeways are clear for the most part. Yeah, but just wait or cross your fingers. Have a look at our traffic page.

Whether you agree with his mission or not so much, you have to admire local superhero Phoenix Jones’ costume. Pretty nifty, if we say so ourselves …

Killing spree: If you haven’t been following the case of the Oregon white supremacist and his girlfriend who are being pegged with the slayings of four people, including the man’s father and stepmother and what appear to be two unsuspecting men in Oregon, it’s a nasty tale of cold-blooded killing. One of the men shot in Oregon may have been killed because his killers thought his name sounded Jewish. Staff reporter Mike Carter has the story today.

Man shot several times in Bremerton: Police are questioning three people in connection with a shooting last night in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Bremerton, according to The Associated Press. The 26-year-old victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Seattle PD’s tweets: What do you think of the Seattle Police Department’s folksy tweets?

#seattlepd #tweetalong Thanks everyone for following my “normal” day. If you see us out there come say hi. Be safe and good night!
