Video: Joe McDermott, Dow Constantine and Tom Rasmussen race downtown from West Seattle

The day before the Alaskan Way Viaduct closed amid fears of traffic snarls and detours, three politicians raced from West Seattle via three modes of transportation available during the nine-day viaduct closure. King County Councilmember Joe McDermott rode the King County water taxi, County Executive Dow Constantine hopped on a Metro bus and Seattle City Councilmember Tom Rasmussen rode his bike in a competition to see who could arrive at Seattle City Hall first.  And the winner?
