Whidbey Island man arrested in stabbing of parents

A Whidbey Island man was arrested Sunday night in the stabbing of his parents, according to Island County Sheriff Mark Brown.

The 38-year-old suspect was arrested at the family home in the 500 block of Dolphin Drive around 10:30 p.m., Brown said. The man was booked into the Island County Jail for two counts of investigation of first-degree assault, domestic

Brown said that a motive for the attack is still under investigation.

The man’s parents were hospitalized for their injuries.
