Bellevue police searching for missing 2-year-old

Bellevue police are searching for a 2-year-old boy who was left alone in a car after the car ran out of gas and his mother went to get help.

The mother took the boy’s 4-year-old sibling with her, and when they returned, the boy was missing, according to Officer Carla Iafrate, spokesperson for the Bellevue Police Department.

The missing child, Sky Metalwala, was described as having brown eyes, dark buzz cut hair and was wearing a dark green hooded sweatshirt and blue and gray striped pants.

King County Search and Rescue dogs are searching the area where the child was last seen, in the 2400 block of 112th Ave. N.E.

Anyone with information about the child’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
