Friday holiday highlights

For some people, the Friday after Thanksgiving is all about shopping. But others can find a host of free holiday fun. For the full list, see Friday’s Weekend Plus section in print or seattletimes.com/entertainment. A few highlights:

Downtown Seattle

Holiday Parade: Inflatable floats, marching bands, hundreds of costumed characters, community groups, Santa Claus, on Pine Street from Seventh Avenue to Fifth Avenue, on Fifth Avenue to University Street, on University Street to Fourth Avenue, then north to Macy’s, 9.a.m. Fridaynov25, Seattle (206-506-7555).

Tree- and star-lighting ceremony: starting at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Westlake Center Plaza and Macy’s.

Downtown Bellevue

Bellevue Magic Season Snowflake Lane: Snowfall, live toy soldiers and winter characters, music, light show, 7 p.m. daily, Friday through Dec. 24, Bellevue Way and Northeast Eighth Street, Bellevue (425-454-8096).
