Police release sketches of Kent rapist

Kent police today released these sketches of the man wanted in connection with two sexual assaults last weekend.

The first attack occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 12900 block of Kent Kangley Road. The second took place at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 26200 block of 116th Avenue Southeast, just north of Kent Kangley Road.

Police described the suspect as a light-skinned black man, about 18 or 19 years old, with short black hair, about 5-feet-8 and a slender build.

“We are very hopeful that by releasing these images today, we can prevent another assault from occurring.” Kent police Lt. Pat Lowery said in a news release.

Kent police ask that anyone with information regarding the identity of the man contact the department at 253-856-5808, or call 911.
