Man turns illegally in front of Sound Transit train, causes crash

Seattle police have arrested a man after he made an illegal turn in front of a Sound Transit train in South Seattle this morning, a move that resulted in a crash.

The man was arrested at the scene of the crash, at Martin Luther King Jr. Way South and South Brandon Street, around 8 am, and is being detained for not having a valid driver’s license, said Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson.

Police are still trying to find out the man’s identity and the man is not being cooperative with¬†investigators, Jamieson said.

Sound¬†Transit spokesman Bruce Gray said the crash resulted in some minor delays during this morning’s commute.There were no serious injuries, authorities said.
